The Pre-K program is based on the belief that young children are naturally curious about the world around them and need many opportunities to explore, manipulate, and interact within it. Active learning through exploration, play and the manipulation of concrete materials is considered essential to the acquisition of new concepts. Children are respected as unique individuals and are encouraged and challenged to achieve their potential in all developmental areas. Children who are or will be four years of age by December 31 of the current school year are eligible to attend the Pre-K program.
