The Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations. In Model UN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN member states to debate current issues on the organization's agenda. Students make speeches, prepare draft resolutions, negotiate with allies and adversaries, resolve conflicts, and navigate the conference rules of procedure - all in the interest of mobilizing "international cooperation" to resolve problems that affect countries all over the world.
DAS in the news! The Model United Nations delegation from Darul Arqam School in South River received honorable mention awards at the International Middle School Model United Nations Conference March 22 to 24, 2012 at the UN and at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
